Brief Profile:-

Dr. A. K. Dewan is one of the leading Oncologists and Director Surgical Oncology at RGCI & RC. He has been a Cancer Surgeon for over 30 years. He gained experience in institutes such as Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, and Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi.

His areas of interest include Head and Neck Cancer Surgery and Breast Cancer Surgery. On an average, he conducts 120 major and 100 minor cancer surgeries every month and has been involved in over 18,000 surgeries in the course of his career.

He has been awarded 1st Cancer Surgeon with MCh (Surgical Oncology) in Delhi in 1994; and has been recognized as performed the largest number of oral cancer treatment. He started DNB Surgery Oncology Program in RGCI&RC and also initiated site specific specialities in various Department of RGCI&RC alongside also trained many practicing Surgical Oncologists in India.

Dr. Dewan had over 30 articles published in national and international journals. In addition, he has presented over 350 papers in various medical conferences and seminars both in India and abroad.

Dr. Dewan has been honoured as “Top Doctor” in Oncology in Delhi by Delhi Medical Association (DMA); conferred the award of Excellence by the Board of Specialty GCIM 2001 for outstanding services and achievements in the field of cancer and has been awarded for Excellence for achievement and contribution in cancer in last Millennium by Board of faculty of WAIM in Oct 2001.
