Refractive error is the most common cause of visual impairment and the second most common cause of blindness in the world. It may lead to a loss of education and employment opportunities, lower productivity, and impaired quality of life. Eyeglasses are the simplest and safest way to correct refractive errors. Unfortunately, for the poor people eyeglasses often are either inaccessible or unaffordable, forcing millions of people to live below their full potential.
Under this program “Gift Spectacles” we are distributing free spectacles to the poor patients at our camps. In one camp, we generally distribute around 100-150 free spectacles.
